Bruce Richardson - Alumni Spotlight

Bruce Richardson (’85) is the founder and CEO of Videolink Inc, who supply Video Streaming technology, Systems Integration, Live Mobile Video Production, IPTV, Studio Design and Technical Consultation to Broadcasters, Education, Government, Sports, Churches, Corporations and Live Event Broadcasts. His clients include the NHL, NBA, CBC, CTV, Rogers, Cogeco, Shaw, LCBO, McDonalds, Ford, Corus, CSA, UofT, York University, Sheridan, Ryerson, the Governments of Canada and Ontario and Deadmau5. Videolink now has locations in Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton and Winnipeg. He also runs Ontario Bee Rescue at his farm just outside of London.



After graduating from OIART in 1985, Bruce was a Production Manager with radio station CHOK in Sarnia where he Technically Produced Commercials, Promotions and all “Live” and Mobile recording operations for the Radio station. He founded VideoLink in London in 1987 where he shot and produced video support programming for local corporations. By 1989 he had moved to Toronto to provide video editing and computer graphics for Music Industry powerhouses like Warner, EMI and Sony-BMG. While building Videolink, he continued work in Radio as well, doing contract work for “The Fan”, technically producing live sports remotes and interviews and was hired in 1990 to become one of Q107’s Remote Engineers for 9 years. Bruce technically produced regular radio remotes and interviews at Skydome, The Phoenix and Maple Leaf Gardens.
