Jeff Pelletier - Alumni Spotlight
Jeremy Alves | September 13, 2016
Jeff Pelletier, a 2004 graduate of OIART’s music production course, is the Chief Engineer at Phase One Recording, one of Toronto’s oldest and most respected recording facilities. Phase One said: “Jeff continuously impresses clients and is quickly solidifying his reputation as one of the great up and coming engineers in Toronto.”
Jeff’s most recent studio credits include Reuben and the Dark, Victoria Duffield, Tokyo Police Club, Young Empires, Big Sugar, Les Respectables, Shawn Mendes, Francesco Yates, Eleven Past One, Reuben And The Dark, Victoria Duffield, and Carvin Winans. Jeff also mixes live concerts and his recent work is equally impressive, including shows with Monster Truck, Matthew Good, The Trews, IME, F11, and openers Big Sugar on the massive, horned AC/DC stage.
Jeff said: “OIART’s approach to teaching audio is the best in the business. They didn’t just teach me how to use the gear they thought I’d encounter, they taught me the basics that allow me to work on a HUGE variety of gear in almost any environment. That’s how audio should be taught!”
