Jeremy Alves | July 2, 2015
Chris Colvin (’03) is the owner and head engineer at Studio A Audio Recording & Production, located in Kitchener, Ontario. The studio works with independent musicians, on projects for film and TV (Haven, Babar, The Stratford Festival, The Sacred Land Film Project), on corporate projects (Toyota, Home Hardware, Petro Canada), and has found a niche in analog audio transfers and restoration.
Described as a “musician’s engineer,” and as a drummer himself, Chris has played in numerous bands and done session work over the past 15 years. He prides himself on his digital editing abilities and his attention to detail. Chris also works to provide education and mentoring in audio engineering, particularly to youth.
