Student-Dedicated Audio Engineering & Music Production Studios

You start using our student-dedicated studios in the 1st week of the program and after 11 months you will have over 650 hands-on hours in our 8 studios.

Designed for Learning

Each of our classrooms combine a working studio environment with comfortable theatre-style seating. Classroom tools resemble the ones used throughout OIART facilities, so that you learn on what you use.

Surround sound setups and individual headphone jacks provide flexible monitoring options for developing critical listening skills.

Hands-on practical studio experience is crucial to the OIART experience and you spend every second of it – in small groups of no more than 4 students at a time — in our extensive on-site facilities.

Industry Representative

Not all recording studios are created equal. In the real world, you’ll find everything from classic retro studios with analog tape machines to state-of-the art digital playgrounds, and from large-format world class studios to intimate production spaces.

Whether you are recording drums through an analog console into Pro Tools or writing a melodic hook in Ableton Live, each of the above studio design philosophies are represented by our creative spaces.

Designed for Audio Production

Audio projects form the backbone of our program and our creative spaces are designed to reflect this. Architectural acoustic structures have been incorporated to ensure you can listen to accurate representations of your work. Hardware and software choices are made to compliment the production purpose.

In these creative spaces, you will find yourself using vintage gear like SSL compressors and Neumann microphones that exist alongside the latest Sound Toys and Waves Plug-ins to create and shape your sound.
