    Every year, OIART graduates are involved in Juno and Grammy nominated recording projects, working in studios of all sizes across North America and around the world. Whatever the position, you’ll find an OIART graduate earning a living at it.

  • Live Sound & Event Production

    Whether working in a local crew or touring around the globe, OIART graduates make sure that any production runs smoothly. They can be found leading the stage crews on cruise ships, in concert venues of all sizes, touring with top artists, mixing theatrical productions, or working in the audio-visual departments of universities, mega churches and large corporations.

  • Audio for Visual Media

    No segment of the audio industry offers a broader array of opportunities than film and television. On any given day, you can hear OIART graduates’ work on television shows and films that receive Oscar, Canadian Screen Award, Emmy, and several other nominations and awards.


    Sound for Games is one of the most creative, exciting and expanding areas in audio. Our graduates work with various independent and major game developers, contributing to the production of games for console, PC, and iOS devices. There is also a need for more sophisticated audio in new media applications such as online streaming and digital advertising. Grads have not only worked on these projects, they have founded and developed companies that serve these markets.

    OIART graduates work in all areas of the industry; in front of the glass, behind the glass, on location, and on tour, and they also provide design and technical support.
