Curriculum

• We have been crafting our curriculum for decades to provide you with the right skills to turn your passion into a rewarding career. We are constantly refining our curriculum to give you the skills required to make truly astounding audio productions and to surpass the expectations of the most modern employers.

Projects

• Our real-world projects are developed in conjunction with employers and are designed to develop skills that are highly sought after in the audio industry. Write, compose, create and produce while being guided, critiqued and mentored by your instructors. By the time you’ve graduated, you’ll have a high-quality and professional employment-ready audio portfolio & demo reel showcasing your skills. 

Employers don't hire you for your test scores; they hire you for what you can produce. You’ll be:

• recording artists 
• mixing tracks 
• learning signal flow on real consoles 
• working through real-world audio situations

This isn’t theory first. You'll spend your time in elite studios working on real-world projects, building the exact, hands-on skills the modern creator economy demands.

Designed For Learning

Each of our classrooms is a working studio environment with comfortable theatre-style seating. Classroom tools are the ones used throughout OIART’s facilities so that you learn on what you use.

With over 650 hours of hands-on time, unlike other programs, we don’t require the students to purchase computers, hardware or software. All student projects and labs are done on-site in our creative spaces.

On-Site Facilities

Learn across eight fully equipped studio spaces that are used as classrooms and labs in London, ON

Tuition Fees

You pay $35,950, and that’s it. There are NO extra costs for lab fees, textbooks, parking passes or student activity fees. Most students use a combination of Government Loans (OSAP, BC Student Aid, etc…), savings, and family support.

Tuition includes:

1. Professional Studio Headphones
2. A 1TB SSD Drive
3. Custom-fit hearing protection.
4. Radial EDU DI box (built in class and kept after)

How Classes Work

For every hour in class, there is an hour in your labs with hands-on practice to solidify every concept you learn about.

Part of providing you with a real-world education is exposing you to leading experts in the industry. OIART provides the perfect balance of full-time on-site instructors to mentor and guide you with working guest lecturers to give you real-world knowledge, insight and perspective.
