Sound for Games is one of the most creative, exciting and expanding areas in audio. Our graduates work with various independent and major game developers, contributing to the production of games for console, PC, and iOS devices. There is also a need for more sophisticated audio in new media applications such as online streaming and digital advertising. Grads have not only worked on these projects, they have founded and developed companies that serve these markets.
OIART graduates work in all areas of the industry; in front of the glass, behind the glass, on location, and on tour, and they also provide design and technical support. You can find them at companies such as Apple, Sony, and Yamaha, and many start and run their own businesses. Either way, they are using their audio education in a career that is challenging, enjoyable and lucrative.
Many other audio career paths exist which might never even cross your mind. Law enforcement, education, media and more, all offer interesting and rewarding career possibilities in audio.
Only OIART places this much emphasis on preparing you for your career, and with over 70% of our graduates gainfully employed within 6 months of graduation, it’s hard to argue with our success.
