Tim Spence - Alumni Spotlight

Tim Spence graduated from OIART’s audio and music production course in 2011. He is now a Technical Producer for Corus Radio in Calgary. He runs the board for afternoon shows on Newstalk 770, but his favourite gigs are working on Calgary Stampeder broadcasts and working with Country 105 on their annual Radiothon for the Alberta’s children’s hospital, which has raised over 19 million dollars in the past 12 years.

Tim says, “OIART’s process in teaching and approaching technology and signal flow has given me the confidence to tackle any piece of gear I’ve run into since graduating. I feel like I could step into a plethora of industries and be a step ahead. OIART just makes things make sense; in the technical and professional areas of life.”
