Aaron Cieslikowski - Alumni Spotlight

Jeremy Alves | Apr 19, 2016

After graduating from the audio and music production course at OIART in 2000, Aaron Cieslikowski first moved to Vancouver to work in post-production, then to Los Angeles to work in music studios as a tech and assistant engineer. Aaron then moved to Nashville where he worked for many years assisting, engineering and managing at various studios. Along the way he had the pleasure of working with a ton of talented producers, engineers and artists including Brooks ‘n Dunn, Tommy Emmanuel, BeBe Winans, Natalie Cole, Ozomatli and many more. He also played bass in a touring rock band based out Nashville for 8 years. He has been working for music equipment retailer Sweetwater since 2013 and continues to actively work on albums in his spare time.

Aaron said, “The lessons I learned at OIART have served me very well over my career thus far. From studio design to problem solving in the middle of a hectic tracking session, it’s amazing how many solutions can be found by simply reading a circuit flow diagram and trusting your ears. At the school you will be given the basic building blocks you’ll need to construct a foundation that will support your endeavors for years to come. The only other things you will need are a desire and strong work ethic!”
