The yearly OIART student body of approximately 60 individuals creates an intimate and supportive learning environment where students from around the globe share the same curriculum, workload and schedules. The vocabulary, practices and philosophies of the industry permeate even casual conversation. Discussion of popular films, recent concerts or music inevitably turns to analysis and application of concepts being learned in class.

Immersive Learning
OIART students spend eleven months truly immersed in the world of audio engineering, and preparing for the industry reality they will face after graduation. Our students work hard in lectures and labs, absorbing theory and industry knowledge, while developing their skills. Students also learn through observation as their instructors set up and strike equipment between classes, just as many audio professionals do on the job.
