People with a Love of Sound

Over the past three decades, hundreds of young men and women have passed through OIART's doors. Although they differ in background, experience and culture, all share one common bond: A love of sound.

As a result, our students, faculty and even our campus forms a tightly knit community that realistically reflects the professional audio industry.

Our student body only numbers about 60. This creates a uniquely intimate learning environment where even casual conversations are peppered with the vocabulary, practices and philosophies from the audio world.

In fact, when spending time with so many like-minded individuals you’ll find your interests outside of class, such as movies, music and videogames, often find their way into the lecture hall or studio. Which is great — after all, career training that’s relevant to the real world is the whole reason you’re here.
