A perfect balance of audio theory and sound engineering practice

Our immersive three-term (eleven month) program in audio engineering offers an even balance of theory classes and practical, hands-on applications for production. At OIART, we emphasize deliberate, concentrated and supervised lab training in small groups of no more than four students. In fact, you’ll participate in about one hour of lab time for every hour of classroom instruction.

Over the course of a single year, you’ll log more than 600 hours of studio experience in sound engineering, and accomplish what typically takes two to three years in less-focused, less-integrated programs.
