Recording Technology
This course and its rigorously organized support labs are the heart of our program. Every detail of the course has been formulated, tested and implemented by an industry advisory committee, experienced recording engineers, and professional educators.

The most effective means of acquiring and absorbing technical knowledge and practical expertise is centred on a carefully guided, in-studio,“hands-on” training method, where students are never left to flounder.

To that end, theory lectures and technical demonstrations held in RTEC classes are immediately followed by specifically designed practical labs in support of those classes. The course is a systematic step-through process beginning at fundamental levels. Concepts and skills develop, accumulate and are refined until, within 11 months, students are competently operating our professional recording facilities. By mid-May, each individual is pursuing projects of his or her choice and is encouraged to develop a portfolio that accurately represents their career aspirations. All RTEC classes are delivered on-site, in one of the school’s superbly maintained lecture studios.
