OIART Celebrates its 25th Anniversary!

This month marks the 25th year of OIART’s successful audio recording program. We are joined this year by students from all across Canada, the United States, Mexico, Spain, India, Pakistan and Barbados! As we welcome a new group of students from around the world, OIART is also extremely proud of our grads.

Box Office Success!

OIART grad Rob Nokes (1990) is celebrating his work as the sound effects recordist for the box office hit 3:10 to Yuma.

Chart Success

Matt Green, OIART grad 2003, played a part in the much talked about album sales competition between Kanye West and 50 Cent. Matt worked on Kanye West's "Graduation" album, which has sold an estimated 437,000 copies during its first day of release Tuesday, ahead of 310,000 for 50 Cent's "Curtis".The album is also predicted to sell 750,000 copies this week, which will make it the highest selling album in a week for 2007. Matt has also worked on the new Timbaland album, “Timbaland Presents Shock Value”.


Dean Nelson, OIART grad 2000, is celebrating the success of Fergie’s “The Dutchess”. The album is currently at the #2 position on the Billboard charts!



Gemini Success!

The Gemini nominations were announced recently and OIART grads have several nominations in sound categories this year. As well, our recent guest Dan Daniels has been nominated again.
