OIART Welcomes New Live Sound Instructor

OIART is proud to announce a recent addition to our professional audio education team. Graduate Mark Taleski has been hired as head instructor and course director for the Live Sound course. Since graduating the program in 2000, Mark’s live sound experience is significant and multi-faceted. Over his career he’s been FOH and Monitor Mixer, Senior Audio Technician, System Technician, Audio Production Manager, Video Production Manager and Senior Lighting Designer. Mark’s career has taken him across the globe, working on music concerts, theatrical performances, corporate events, television shows and circuses. Mark is also an active member of IATSE local 105.

Mark is bringing exciting new additions to OIART’s live sound course, including lighting programming and design, video production and rigging safety. Live sound continues to be a lucrative employment area for many of our graduates and these changes will significantly improve the employability and career mobility of those who wish to pursue a career in live sound.

Former Live Sound Instructor Christoph Babin remains at OIART as Head of Physical Resources and Senior Lecturer Emeritus and will continue to contribute his numerous decades of expertise and experience to the success of OIART students and graduates.
