Manufacturing, Sales and Service

Like every aspect of the technological world, audio equipment is constantly changing. Every year brings new hardware systems, software-based digital platforms and even retro-style tube gear. Every products needs to be designed, produced, marketed, sold and, of course, maintained.

Technical support and sales positions send our graduates around the world. You might go to a studio overseas to repair a piece of equipment, meet with a supplier to demonstrate new products or visit a production facility to train other audio professionals on their new systems.

The cost of producing CDs and DVDs has dropped due to the increased availability and quality of audio technology. To ensure a high-end final product, media and artwork duplication need to be managed professionally, but always with an eye on costs. This has resulted in an immense growth in the audio authoring, manufacturing and distribution business.

Manufacturing jobs often go to applicants with a degree, even though university grads probably fall short in aspects of professional audio that OIART grads know hands down. In this case, our program can prepare you for further studies or add practical training to previous formal academic experience.
