Jason Dufour ('07) is a Toronto based engineer and mixer. After graduation, Jay assisted at Phase One and later Revolution Recording, two of Canada's top recording facilities, assisting on projects by The Barenaked Ladies, The Trews, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, Three Days Grace and legendary Canadian supergroup Rush amongst many others. Working his way up to Engineer, Jay's credits include "Forcefield" by Tokyo Police Club, "Siberia Acoustic" by Lights, "The Ocean at the End" by The Tea Party and Juno winner "Volition" by Protest the Hero.

Jason is currently engineering and mixing an amazingly talented Soul/Pop Artist, NEFE for Universal Music, Indie/Pop Band - These Young Diamonds and engineering for The Midway State front man Nathan Ferraro. He has recently moved into a new studio space in Toronto where he works with Producer/Songwriter Michael 'Sonner' Sonier.

Jason says, "As I look back, I realize how invaluable my time spent at OIART was and still is — It gave me the foundational tools that I needed to build upon my skills and develop into my career as a recording engineer/mixer.
