Graduate Andrew Charron (’11) is working as an Audio Technician for Carnival Cruise Lines. Starting on the Carnival Glory as a Back Lounge Tech, Andrew ran sound for live band karaoke and comedy shows. After that, he was transferred to the Carnival Sensation to take over as the Main Lounge Audio Technician. There, Andrew is responsible for the sound for the 3 Production shows, and anything audio related on the ship.

Andrew says he loved his time at OIART, “The most important thing I learned about at OIART was signal flow. There are about 5 miles of audio cable on the Sensation, and if something goes wrong I have to use signal flow charts to figure out where the cable is going and where the problem might be.”

Congrats to Andrew! Here is a photo from inside his booth: “Here is the main lounge soundboard I use on the Carnival Sensation. Sounds awesome! In the rack I have TC Electronics Reverb and Delay, Alesis HD24, and a graphic EQ and a CD player.”
