John started his career at Toronto’s legendary Manta Sound and he also did a stint at Oceanway Studios in LA. He is currently an active freelance recording engineer in Toronto. In 2007 John was asked to do music playback on the set of “The Rocker” starring Rainn Wilson and became an IATSE 873 member in 2009. He “moonlights” on film sets a few weeks a year working as an on set Pro Tools Playback operator which sounds easy but is a highly demanding job.
