Rob ‘Muneshine’ Bakker graduated from OIART’s music production course in 2004. Working with rapper D-Sisive, he is a four time Juno nominee. He is also a two time Polaris Prize Long-lister, SOCAN Echo Songwriting Award winner and East Coast Music Award nominee. As a performer/producer, Rob has toured around the world and collaborated with many world-class artists such as: Pete Rock, Sean Price, DJ Spinna, Buckwild (D.I.T.C.), Guilty Simpson, Rob Swift (of the Executioners), Tom Waits, Ron Sexsmith, Portugal, The Man and many more. Muneshine has had success with #1s on Hype Machine, premieres with major taste-maker blog Majestic Casual, and over 1.5 million plays on Soundcloud. Recently, Rob has moved away from his roots in hip hop, producing and DJing more electronic music (house, future bass and trap).  He is currently working on a new Muneshine EP, which will doubtlessly be met with great excitement in Japan where he has sold over 30,000 records.

Rob says, "I really value my O.l.A.R.T. experience, not only for the technical knowledge I obtained, but for the relationships I built while studying there, and have since grown with many of my classmates. In a business where relationships are just as important as talent and ability, my time there put me on the right track.”
